Shef Mariam has a dual-MBA. A background in marketing and my own cable TV set led to advertising the opening of corporate chain restaurants in several regions of the USA and more in Europe and Asia. I worked on Reality TV for cooking channels with the start of careers for Celebrity Chefs in America, Pakistan, and India in the early 1990s to mid-2000s. In college freshman year, I was invited to a Reality TV cooking show by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor but was unable to miss college. I worked on the launch of Jadoo cooking channels. My studies led me to travel the world and inspired my Halal menu. Food was tasty in over 15 nations in Latin America, Europe and Asia. I am passionate about cooking, a Punjabi-American from Pakistan with roots from Afghanistan & Hindustan (Bharat) for 500+ years.

Over the years, Shef Mariam continued to develop her cooking skills. She learned more cuisines. She made her menu. Her opening on shef.com/order/shef/mariam-k-6 allowed her to balance work with cooking and the time she spent preparing dishes. Her inspiration for her menu items is from her travel. She knows every dish can be cooked halal in the way dishes are prepared resulting in healthy foods. 

Shef Mariam photographs her food and spends her time sharing her photos on social media of eating out, exploring the world, and spending time with family. She likes memorizing nutritional benefits about food items. 

She considers nutrition when developing her menu for Keto, Paleo, Whole30 and Vegetarian.
