Here is a little more about me!

When I was being raised by my parents in our home, we spent entire days cooking. This was an early start to what would become my passion in the kitchen to cook halal meals and develop my own menu. I spent countless hours learning how to cook fresh ingredients, recipes I had never heard of, and then I moved on to learning how to cook the same dish in small and large servings. 

From there, I learned how to cook for large crowds. And I learned of places in the world where the homeless population desperately needed food. I teamed up with non-profits that would benefit from developing large scale meal delivery in kitchens catering to the homeless to reduce hunger in the homeless and poor populations of the world. Packaging was developed that was eco-sustainable and would biodegrade faster, also helping the climate. Kitchens with push carts were developed for ease of transport of the food in temperature-controlled environments reducing in food spoilage and spills ensuring the food was delivered in a timely manner so the recipients could eat. 

I went to the grocery store and found boxed recipes that would cook fast and be cost-effective in feeding large families or families that were in need and poor. I advertised for those brands and flavors were developed to add to their brand to increase sales and make more food available. I worked on celebrity ad campaign endorsements for sports stars or athletes. This helped the economy and also taught me important lessons on my advertising business long before I had an MBA and a meal planning business of my own. This was years before any plans of having a restaurant of my own. 

I developed my own menu and traveled the world for my studies in grad school and post-grad finding inspiration to add fusion dishes to my menu items. Today, as a businesswoman, I have had a lot of business experience, but I can say I truly find happiness in the time I spend in the kitchen cooking for my family and customers of all the items on my Shef menu! I still learn something new with each dish! I never stop learning.
