The Blessed Days of Ramadan: The Search for Laylut-al-Qadr
The last 10 days of Ramadan as the 3rd Ashra (1/3) mean that the Blessed Night of Laylat-al-Qadr can be among them. We have to search for that night to find it and be receive blessings for staying up late at night to seek of the reward for prayer after fasting on the night. The night commemorates when the first verse of the Holy Quran was revealed at Hira. Hira is in Jabal Al Nour in Mecca, Saudi Arabia where there is a mountain in the Hejaz region that houses the grotto or cave Hira. Hira holds significance for Muslims as outlined in Wikipedia. Wikipedia also says that the place is a popular tourist attraction in Mecca and that wide belief exists that the first revelation took place here. The first revelation consists of the first five ayats or verses of Sura Al-Alaq spoken by the Angel Gabriel for the first time here on earth. This took place in the Abrahamic time period.
